History of Hindsight
The Hindsight Manners Chart series was created out of necessity in 1985 by mother/artist, Rebecca Hinds. Early in 1985, Rebecca, husband Albert and five of their eventual seven children ventured out to eat. Robert, Russell, Keirsten, Ryan and Rex(Reed and Riley came later), all under the age of nine in 1985, provided the inspiration for the first chart, Table Manners.
The Table Manners wall chart was an effective teaching aid and significantly influenced the Hinds children, inspiring economics teacher, Al Hinds, to "take the pigs to market". Five thousand charts were printed and distributed in Kansas City retail stores, being placed on consignment. They SOLD!
Over the next six years, five more unique Manners Charts were created by Rebecca. Morning Manners, Friendship Manners, Safety Manners, Nutrition Manners and Earth Manners were launched. All six Manners Charts have been sold in retail school supply stores across America.
